Dear AYSO Families,

As a completely volunteer-run non-profit organization, our primary focus is to provide a fun, safe, and inclusive soccer experience for all players in our region. With approximately 1,300 players each year, we take pride in supporting our community through this program. We’d like to share some important updates and the reasoning behind a change to our registration fee.

Why We’ve Adjusted the Fee

To continue providing a high-quality and sustainable soccer experience, we’ve had to raise our registration fee to $150.00 plus a $25.00 national fee per player  This fee now covers both fall and spring seasons (12 weeks total: 6 in fall, 6 in spring) and helps us meet increased operational costs and compliance requirements.

Here’s what your registration fee helps cover:

• Full field maintenance (mowing, fertilization, sprinkling, trash, and restrooms)
  
  

• Uniform jersey for each player
  
  

• Maintenance and replacement of goals and nets (which we own)
  
  

• Required concussion forms for every player, per Michigan law
  
  

• National AYSO player fee
  

• A more thorough background check process required by AYSO for every volunteer ($25 per volunteer, paid by our region)
  
  

• A new volunteer appreciation gift or event to thank those who make this program possible
  
  

Additional Program Notes

• Players remain on the same team for the full season (fall and spring).
  
  

• We limit the number of teams based on the number of volunteer coaches available.
  
  

• Our refund policy is clearly posted on our website.
  
  

• Scholarships are available and will be considered upon written request.
  
  

We understand that changes in cost can be challenging, and we’re committed to transparency and support. We hope this information helps explain the need for the updated registration fee and reflects our dedication to keeping the program running smoothly and sustainably.
